WHERE TO TRAVEL (2): LAVENDER GARDEN | BRINCHANG, CAMERON HIGHLANDS

If you love flowers and nature, you should definitely pay a visit to this Lavender Garden located at Brinchang, Cameron Highlands. There are many spots where you can take instagram-worthy photos. It's also such a nice, relaxing place to roam around. Other than lavenders, there are also many other types of flowers to look at such as these.   However, the garden can be quite packed especially during weekends and public holidays. Would recommend to go on a weekday instead of a weekend. A view from the cafe in the garden  You can also pick your own strawberry. (but I'm unsure about the pricing tho hehe) The entrance fee is RM10 for adult and RM7 for children. It's definitely more on the pricey side but it's really worth it if you enjoy looking at flowers and taking lots of pictures. Also, LOOK at this AMAZING view of the tea plantation @ Cameron Valley!  ADDRESS 59, Taman Tringkap, 39100 Brinchang, Pahang OPENI

be you

Outside of my bedroom, I usually find myself having a lot of thoughts haunting me about how people would think about me - the way i dress, the way i act and who am i to people. If you know me for a long time, you would know that i used to be a quiet and shy little girl that nobody seems to notice. I always have a mini anxiety attack when I'm in a crowded place. You can say I am the total opposite from who am I today. However, deep down inside I am still that little girl I used to be - it's just that I chose to be the 'fun' person in front of people but that doesn't help in my self confidence at all because I know that person I act to be on the outside is not the person I truly am. Sometimes, I feel like I'm trying too hard. That's why I get depressed quite often because I over think about how others would feel about me. I am scared that I am not being the person they want me to be.

I was reading a few books on real life stories about people who are afraid to be themselves and also listened a few songs that I found randomly when I was browsing on Youtube. One of my favourite songs is Just Like You by Louis Tomlinson. If you know me, you will know that I used to be a huge Directioner back in the days but then important exams came so I didn't really bother about One Direction - up till today. However, when I found Louis' song a few days back, I was instantly touched by the lyrics. It speaks about how everyone is the same - no matter how big you are on social media or how famous you are. Everyone gets sad. Everyone have to go through their own problems.

The part that hits me the most is "cause nobody cares when you're boring". It is indeed very true. Who wants to be with a boring person? Who wants to talk to a person who never jokes around? Honestly, I feel like that 'boring' person. I am socially awkward. I don't know how to start a conversation or even continue the conversation. I always have different opinion than the rest. But when I listened to this song - it makes me realise that I'm not the only one feeling this way. Even a person that I look up to a lot feel this way too and it will not surprise me if many more out there are feeling the same way I am feeling.

Everyone is afraid. Afraid that nobody will like them. Nobody will agree with their opinion. Nobody will want to be friends with them. Everyone wants to be accepted. Everyone wants to be the cool person that others will admire. It's so rare to find someone with so much confidence to do the things they like to do even though what they like to do is considered 'weird' to the society. I really admire people who have high confidence in themselves despite of all the hates they will be having because I personally do not have that level of confidence. For me, having self confidence is so hard because of all the hates I get.

But let me dare you today to do something you really love to do and let me know in the comments how did it went! Let's us all encourage each other to be ourselves and forget about what people may say about us. Be yourself. Every single one of you is different and unique in your own way. If everyone wants to be like the rest, the world will be filled with robots - which is not special at all. You are amazing. You can be yourself and not be like the rest. I believe in you. And remember, even if you think that nobody loves you, I love you. I really do. <3

  2. I think it's SO important to remember that everyone feels shitty sometimes, even those who seem to have things completely together. I struggle with this a lot, and this post was such a nice reminder to have on a lonely Friday night

    1. Thank you Steph for your lovely reply! Everyone have their own struggles they have to go through. It is completely okay to feel bad about yourself and i dont blame you for it because i feel the same way too and i cant control the way i think about my self. However, I want you to know that you are awesome and you should think more about the positive side of yourself rather than the negative side. I hope this post helps you even a little bit :)

  3. Reading this feels like reading an entry from my younger self. I agree on all your points and I know this will sound so cliche but being you and being comfortable about it will be one of the best decisions you'll ever make. I am still socially awkward and a full on introvert. People label me as boring too since I don't do most of the stuff people my age do and to be honest I'm okay with that now. There's nothing wrong with being different or for liking what most people don't (and vice versa) or for whatever it is you are. Perhaps you just need to find your person (not exactly romantic), someone who resonates with you. Not easy but when you do, it's like magic. I met a good friend this year and I never thought I'd find someone who shares the same weirdness and awkwardness as I do. Just do you. :)

Have you ever randomly stop and thought what a random stranger is doing or facing in their life right now? Or am I the only weird plus creepy one here? Hmm. This week I've been thinking a lot about things like this - what the people staying opposite of my house is doing (okay, not in the weird way tho) or even what is a student from the class next door is going through. Reason being, I always see them having the biggest smile on their face or sometimes the saddest frown. It makes me wonder about everything a human can be facing in life. Whether its getting an excellent results in the final year exam or someone beloved has passed away. There's millions (or even billions) of possibilities of things and situation that can be happening in someone's life right now and it only takes one person to do something to make a person smile for the entire week or at least one second. It could just be a smile from a random person and it could make my entire day. I recently starte

WHERE TO TRAVEL (1): MUAR | MALAYSIA

Last weekend was a longgg weekend for us Malaysians (yayyy!) so my family and I decided to go for a half day trip (mostly just to eat) at Muar! Honestly, when my dad suggested to go to Muar, I was like ehhhhh cause it's a really shmall town and I've no idea what to do there. Since both of my parents had went there a couple of times before, we thought that we dont have to do any research about the cute little town of Muar. Muar is a very small town that you can cover less than a day - so we went with the flow and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever!! We didn't felt stressed nor panicked at all. We felt very calming a relaxing. Okay, before i continue to go on and on with no direction, lemme tell you what we did! 1. RAWR! - DINO PARK     We reached Muar at around 9am. We kinda took the wrong turning to the town area so we ended up going to the Dinosaur Park! We were the first family to arrive there. Honestly, it took only about 10 minutes to see everything t
